John Haught's Super Skunk goes for a wild up and down ride on a J-299, Pink Panther motor. This may be the last picture we will see of the venerable Skunk as the parachute failed to deploy and it plunged into the brush to the northwest of the field.

John has an amazing method for getting past events such as this.... he puts a motor in another rocket and flies. Those new to rockets would do well to emulate some of John's rare abilities.
Jeffrey Dick watches his AGM 33 Pike lift off on an H-219 motor. Jeff has installed GPS trackers in his rockets so he has a high probability of locating it upon return to Terra Firma.
It's hard not to appreciate a straight tracking flight such as Jeff's AGM takes. Be sure to talk to Jeff about his construction methods as nearly all of his rockets fly like this.... and it's no accident.

Jeffrey Dick's AGM 33 Pike drifts short of the trees upon descent. And even though he was not in the trees, Jeff still relied on his tracker to locate his rocket in the tall brush across the road to the east.

A great flight and easy recovery meant that Jeff could move on to fly more without a lengthy search.

As always, Nice Flying Jeff!
