Clear skies and cloudy conditions. Dead calm and gusty breezes. Dry and rain.
The August launch had a little of everything with temps being a little chilly in the morning, hot in the afternoon (mid-upper 80's) and chilly again by the time of pack-up and go home.
TRIPOLI Pittsburgh President Joe Pscolka set up the high power pads with a little help from TR.
Joe ends up doing a large portion of keeping TRIPOLI Pittsburgh together.
Thanks for all of your efforts, Joe!
By the time the hogh power pads were setup, others showed up and helped out with the low power pads and RSO tent.
Thanks to Rob Camele and Jerry Andre and all who help out!
Jeffrey Dick is one of the TRIPOLI Pittsburgh members who has added GPS trackers to all of his larger models. Given the challenging terrain of our Dragon's Fire Field, trackers are one of the best additions to any larger rocket. Highly recommended.
Good work Jeff!
Jeff checks out the connection between his GPS trackers and his phone in the pits pre-flight.
Jeff Dick watches his Callisto head off of the high power pads on a G80.
TRIPOLI Pittsburgh veteran Dave Rose came out to watch the action and fly his drone.
TR's Whirlygig flew on a B motor this time.
One of the Whirlygig's can be seen on Dave's table in the photo above.
