July had loads of great flights. Some of which were not covered by this launch report. If yours was not featured please let us know and we'll try for next time.
But one flight that must be reported upon is that of Scott Kissinger.
Scott Kissinger came out in July to poke some holes in the clouds with his Dart Express.
The Dart Express screams off of the high power pad on a J-500-something motor.
The Dart quickly disappeared from sight.
Most people felt that it was headed up.
Time passed. No one knew where it was.
Like a number of other flyers, Scott has a tracker that he uses for his higher flights.
Scott's tracker is a little more Dick-Tracy-ish than some but is quite effective.
"Blip Blip Bloop", said the tracker.
"It's that way", said Scott.
And they both were right.
Current Mile High Club leaderboard:
"Bloop, Bloop, Blip", said the altimeter.
"5,025 ft", said Scott.
And with that he posted a flight at the top of the Mile High Club leaderboard that will tough to beat.
Nice work Scott!
Most of us know him as Ernie
Ernie shot some of the best photos in July and we are grateful for all of his efforts.
Thanks Ernie!
"There it is!", exclaimed someone from the pit area. We all looked over and it was decending under parachute across the road but short of the trees.
Current George Pike leaderboard:
With that we bid goodbye to July.
